Kate Tomas has confirmed her breakup with Andrew Garfield, revealing that their relationship ended some time ago. The news was shared by Tomas on her Instagram account on October 11. She responded to a fan inquiry about her relationship status with the We Live in Time actor.
In her comment, Kate Tomas clarified, “We broke up months ago but I’m sure he will be happy to know that he is loved.” She effectively addressed the question and put speculation to rest.
Garfield and Tomas were first linked in March. They were seen holding hands during a double date with Phoebe Bridgers and Bo Burnham. Despite their public outings, including shopping for groceries in Los Angeles, Andrew has largely kept his romantic life private.

Despite the recent public announcement of their split, it appears the breakup occurred quietly months ago. Tomas has faced scrutiny since her relationship with Garfield became known. In response to a comment questioning her focus on him, she replied, “Sweetheart, the only people who ever talk about or centre a man in my life, work, business, and social media are women like you.”
In a July interview with The Sunday Times, Tomas voiced her frustration with societal norms. She stated, “It’s frustrating that no matter how accomplished or impactful a woman is, it’s always going to be more interesting if they are in a relationship with a man. I don’t want to sit under anybody’s shadow.”
Before dating Kate Tomas, Andrew Garfield was in a relationship with his Spider-Man co-star Emma Stone in the 2010s. More recently he dated model Alyssa Miller, with that relationship concluding in April 2022.
